The City's Cleanup Day will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2024 from 8:00am-5:00pm at the Constitution Center (rear) located at 1022 W Main St. Proof of city residency is required. Please see flyer for more details!

Proposed Fire Station Update

As you may have heard, the Louisville Fire Department is getting a new home! These images are an illustration of the proposed building to be built at 1010 South Chapel St. It will replace the existing fire station that has been in service since 1967 and no longer meets the operational or safety needs of the department. No new tax money is necessary for the construction of the building. We invite the public to contact the Fire Chief, the City Manager, or come to a council meeting with any questions. Louisville City Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month. City Hall Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Seasonal Parks Openings

SEASONAL CASUAL LABOR/ PARKS

 Positions Open Until Filled

 The City of Louisville is seeking 5 Seasonal Casual Labor employees to work in the Service Department, primarily Parks division. Duties are related to maintenance of the City’s parks, facilities, and properties; including but not limited to operation of a mower and other machinery; operation of small power tools and equipment; assist in vegetation and tree care; practice excellent customer service etiquette; utilize proper safety precautions; drive and maintain vehicles and lawn equipment.

Minimum qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Qualified candidates must possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License and be capable of being insured by the City. Applicant must be able to have the physical ability to work outside and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Park pavilion reservations are now completed ONLINE and accepted YEAR ROUND!

Interested in renting a pavilion at one of the city's beautiful parks? The city now has an online reservation program called RecDesk where you can make your reservations year round! If you need any assistance, please contact Shelly Babington at (330) 875-2266 x304. The keys for pavilion reservations can be picked up Mon-Fri 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM at the Public Works Department, 1022 W. Main St. After the reservation, keys can be placed in the blue drop box located outside door.

2024 Yard Waste Site Details

The yard waste center located at 4915 N. Nickelplate will be opening for Louisville City and Nimishillen Township key card holders beginning April 1, 2024. Residents choosing to use the yard waste site will need to purchase key cards for $25. To purchase a key card, please visit the Nimishillen Township office on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM. Registration can also be completed at https://www.nimishillentownship.com/yard-wasteResidents must agree to abide by the Rules and Terms approved by the Nimishillen Township Trustees as seen below.
